  1. I've got an ELK Pro Sonic with 4 12AX7, 1 - 6AQ8, 2x7189 and 6CA4 rectifier. 2x10"
Reverb is not working and after finally getting the Tremelo to work, it has a rather loud thump when the intensity is full up.
Cant find a schematic anywhere. Looking for repair thoughts.

  2. I'm repairing an Elk Pro-sonic right now, and the only tubes installed are the 4 12ax7. Can someone tell me which tubes go where?

    1. Hi - interestingly enough, I'm in the same exact situation. I went ahead and reverse engineered it and did a hand drawing. It's an odd amp to begin with and I think someone has previously done some work on it, so I can't vouch for it's authenticity. I haven't fired it up yet since I know the caps are shot and I'm going to re-wire it for a 12AT7 instead of the 6AQ5 - and possibly knock down the power tube voltage to use EL84s more safely.

Send me your email and I'll send you the drawing. By the way, the circuit is very similar to the other ELK/Echo schematics out there (I've seen a Twin 50 and an ES-30 out there and they are remarkably similar).
